Everyone wants to be successful and yearns for the success mantra.
Today I am writing about a person who is the epitome of success, someone who defines success.
He is one of the most successful investors of the world, a business tycoon, and a philanthropist.
Someone who ranks as the 7th wealthiest person of the world.
Any guesses?
I am sure most of you must have figured out that I am talking about none other than Warren Buffet.
On his 90th birthday, here are a few pearls of wisdom from the Investment Guru which are my personal favourites :
1.Warren buffets Golden Rule: Rule #1-Never lose money & Rule #2- Never Forget Rule 1.
2.Opportunities come infrequently. When it rains gold, put out the bucket, not the thimble.
3.If you don’t find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die.
4.On Earning: Never depend on a single income. Make Investment to create a second source.
On Spending: If you buy things you don’t need, soon you will have to sell things you need.
On Savings: Do not save what is left after spending, but spend what is left after saving.
On Taking Risk: Never test the depth of the river with both the feet.
On Investment: Do not put all eggs in one basket.
On Expectation: Honesty is a very expensive gift. Do not expect it from cheap people.
5.In the business world, the rear-view mirror is always clearer than the windshield.
6.Money is not everything. Make sure you earn a lot before speaking such Nonsense.
7.It is better to hang out with people better than you. Pick out associates whose behaviour is better than yours and you will drift in that direction.
8.Chains of Habit are too light to be felt until they are too heavy to be broken.
9.Read 500 pages like this every day. That’s how knowledge works.
It builds up, like compound interest.
All you can do it, but I guarantee not many of you will do it.
10.If you cannot control your emotions, you cannot control your money.
11.The Best Investment you can make is an investment in yourself… The more you learn, the more you will earn.
